Just like dogs, cats are social creatures, and they shouldn't be left home alone for extended periods of time. If you do that, you're at risk for creating separation anxiety and a host of problems. A cat can be bored and become destructive. A cat may not to want to eat if it misses its person. They may become sick and no one's there to take them to a vet."
